Judge dismisses suit seeking to halt new federal gun show sales rules

A lawsuit against U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Justice Department challenging a Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives rule that went into effect on Monday expanding the definition of who is “engaged in the business” of selling firearms was dismissed Thursday in the Eastern District of Arkansas by a federal judge who ruled the case should have been filed in Kansas, where the main plaintiffs reside.
