Good afternoon.
The mercury is expected to rise to the mid-30s for a while today in Little Rock, but frigid temperatures will be here for the remainder of the week.
Hunker down for another day with some Little Rock news stories.
FBI agents last week searched the office of the Central Arkansas Housing Corporation, a nonprofit entity affiliated with the Little Rock housing authority.
The 501(c)(3) group previously was led by Leta Anthony, the ousted former vice chair of the housing authority's board, and has been linked to the allegations of financial mismanagement that triggered the removal of Anthony as well as then-Chair H. Lee Lindsey from the housing authority's board last September.
Kerry Wright, the new chair of the housing authority's board, said officials gave permission for the search.
He suggested that the FBI's request to go through the office stemmed from information obtained last year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Inspector General.
Over at City Hall, five people have applied for a seat that opened up recently on the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission.
Stacy Hurst's latest term on the panel expired at the end of December.
Applicants for the seat include Clinton Foundation Executive Director Stephanie Streett, attorney Bob Edwards and Amazon employee Kevin Reese.
Mayoral appointments to the seven-member Airport Commission must get the approval of three-fourths of the Little Rock Board of Directors.
