Good afternoon.

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. yesterday signaled that officials are open to making improvements after attendees at a city board meeting expressed concern about the dormant Little Rock Citizens Review Board.

Specifically, officials want to add language about the review board to the paperwork tied to complaints against Police Department personnel, according to Scott's comments Tuesday.

In her comments to the city board, activist Brittany Dawn Jeffrey noted that the review board has taken up just two complaints since it was formed in 2019.

Jeffrey also suggested that the panel ought to be disbanded unless members are “given any real power.”

In other news from the city board, members yesterday filled the final two vacant spots on the Metropolitan Housing Alliance's board of commissioners.

Stacie Brown — the designated resident commissioner — and Monty Baugh join Chair Kerry Wright, Vice Chair Karen Buchanan and Bruce James on the reconstituted five-seat board.

By the way, there was an election yesterday. Get the results from Tuesday's primary and nonpartisan judicial election at arkansasonline.com.
