Smoothie powder producer Kencko is taking its freeze-drying expertise to a new aisle. 

The New York-based company recently introduced a new line of Iced Lattes, featuring 1 cup of organic fruit and 1.5 espresso shots per single-serve sleeve. The product is available in Mocha, Cinnamon and Banana Caramel flavors and will retail for $2.10 per packet later this fall.

How will the smoothie company carry over into a coffee concept? Well, according to CCO Kelly Dean, the fruit and vegetable-focused company has been toying with the idea of a coffee product for some time.

🍔 Impossible Foods Opens Plant-Based Pop-Up in Chicago

Plant-based protein purveyor Impossible Foods is opening its first in-person dining concept in Chicago this week. Impossible Quality Meats will be open through the fall inside the XMarket Food Hall.

🌱 The fully plant-based menu will include a breakfast sandwich, nachos, Asian-style meatballs, a Chicago-style hot dog, and more featuring Impossible Foods’ meat alternatives, as well as Oatly oat milk-based soft-serve. 

💪 The pop-up builds on the company’s growing foodservice footprint, spanning more than 45,000 locations across the U.S. that serve its products, and represents an extension of its “meatier” brand identity that debuted in March.
