🌿 Edible Evolution: Cannabis Brands Expand Into Hemp-Derived THC

Despite the Biden Administration’s recent plan to reschedule marijuana to a Schedule III drug (like Tylenol with codeine or metabolic steroids), the cannabis industry has already made strides in opening up the THC tent to regions where recreational and medicinal use is still prohibited.

Cannabis edibles remain the most popular format of THC consumption with 67% of users buying cannabis options like gummies or chocolates, according to survey data from Numerator. As hemp products made with Delta-8 or -9 THC have experienced increasing growth in low-dose beverages, edibles makers have begun to expand into the format as well.

🍓 HumanCo’s Cosmic Bliss brand has tapped Hailey Bieber to bring her infamous Erewhon Strawberry Glaze Smoothie to new aisles. Today, the company launched the organic, clean-label and dairy-free Cosmic Bliss Strawberry Glaze Soft Serve Sundae pints exclusively at the high-end grocery chain. 

💚 Korean food brand Bibigo debuted a newly redesigned logo and product packaging this week that embraces green tones and is intended to help the brand stand out on shelf. The new identity rollout will be accompanied by a brand activation at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson PGA tournament beginning tomorrow.
