Meet the Panel

Sirmara Campbell is Chief Human Resources Officer at LaSalle Network, a national staffing, recruiting and culture firm. Campbell has over 24 years of experience within staffing and human resources, and whose expertise has helped LaSalle Network be recognized by more than 100 culture and revenue-based awards including being named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ Best Places to Work list more than 8 times.

Alexa James is a licensed clinical social worker who has devoted her professional life to serving people living with mental health conditions. Alexa has served as the Chief Executive Officer of NAMI Chicago since 2014 and has made the organization a leading voice in the conversation around mental wellness, challenges of the mental health system, and mental health education in Chicago and beyond.

Dr. Sameer Vohra was appointed Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health in 2022, and is a pediatrician with degrees in medicine, law and public policy. Since becoming Illinois' top doctor, he has led the state through the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency and is now focused on efforts to strengthen Illinois’ public health infrastructure and build a unified vision for health in every corner of the state.
