Keeping your chickens calm during Fireworks?

Some chickens just aren't bothered by fireworks and simply keep doing what they were doing, while others will get startled enough to flap around and damage uncollected eggs.

If your chickens are sensitive to loud noises, here are a few things to consider:

If you can move them indoors, perhaps to a garage or outbuilding, it very well could be enough to keep them calm
Create background noise. A box fan or a small radio could provide a soothing distraction.
Typically, once they are in the coop, they'll zone out, so if you can have them put up before dusk, you may not need to do anything else!
