PROBLEM:

On certain vehicles with Chrysler EcoDiesel V6 engines, soot buildup in the intake manifold can cause a severe loss of power, smoke, and a burning smell. A dealer recall addresses failing EGR coolers on some EcoDiesels, but even if a cooler has been repaired under warranty, it may have already caused problems downstream that aren’t immediately noticeable.

FIX:

This upgraded Dorman OE FIX™ intake manifold features a more protective skirt on the sensor shroud, allowing the MAP sensor to be located farther out of the path of hot EGR gases. These engineering improvements can divert EGR heat and soot through the intake for a more reliable repair than the original design. This manifold can also help reduce cost by allowing still-functional sensors to be swapped into the new manifold.

PROBLEM:

On certain Ford and Lincoln SUVs and trucks, the 4-wheel drive system can become inoperable when an original equipment 4WD locking hub actuator fails to engage the inner axle shaft. The actuator malfunction is typically caused by the failure of the hub diaphragm material, which wears out over time from fatigue and ozone degradation.

FIX:

This Dorman OE FIX™ 4WD actuator kit features an upgraded diaphragm material that is more resistant to wear and environmental contaminants than the factory diaphragm. The kit also includes a new vacuum solenoid for precise engagement of the 4WD system when conditions demand.

PROBLEM:

On certain Ford and Lincoln vehicles, when a transmission pan is leaking or in need of routine service, loosening and lowering that fluid-filled pan is a messy business. This Dorman OE FIX transmission oil pan is designed to match the fit and function of the original equipment pan but is upgraded with a drain plug to allow the trans fluid to be drained before servicing the pan.
