Getting the miter saw setup with the vacuum for some t&g for the ceiling in tool shed. One of the most important things I wanted to make sure I had setup is the AWS system. What is AWS? It stands for Auto-Start Wireless System. Simply pull the trigger and the vac starts with a slight delay after releasing the trigger. Youâll see all the saws on the XGT lineup are was compatible. Pretty sweet not having one that Velcroâs on somewhere inconvenient or in the way. What are you thoughts on this quick setup?

Rather than carrying two chargers Makita has made a little adapter so you can charge 14V and 18V batteries on the 40V charger. It's ideal for this dual 40V XGT rapid charger.

This saw really stands out for me on the 40V XGT lineup. It's a 10-1/4â blade so it easily makes it through 4x4âs in one pass but if you look closely at the base plate you can see that grove that makes it track-compatible. Plus, it has that cool lever for moving the guard making it a bit easy to line up and start your cut

Here I'm demonstrating how to flawlessly freehand cutting with the @makitatools XGT tracksaw. Rewatch to see how I hold the saw.

We had this Makita power scraper out for popping up some tiles on this job so we gave it a try on the glued-down commercial carpet The carpet was glued down pretty well but the power scraper with its vibration made that glue let loose and made this part of the demo effortless. If you pulled up glued-down carpet you know it can be a pain

Clamp it and go! We got some used cabinets off Facebook for free so we solved a massive issue which was the black hole of a laundry room we had. Cheers to organization.

Blue skies, and spring weather. Good to be alive and framing. Story line here is that we don't cast in place anchor bolts. Instead we asked our engineer to spec @strongtie Titen HD. They are more expensive than anchor bolts BUT factor in total installed cost. We save the time at the foundation level, both in layout, installing (we don't wet set) and working around them. On the framing side we avoid drilling mudsill to the anchor bolts.

Take the time to set up staging. A few minutes to save hours, increase safety and quality. Blocking, cutting, hanging rim, taping, first rows of decking, railing, etc all gain efficiency. Not to mention, it's much easier on the body.

2020,2018,2016,2019 and 2014. All the years these @makitatools went into service. They are used almost every day. The last time I had an lxt battery die was 2014. It was replaced under warranty. By contrast. I have had 13 Milwaukee M 18 and M 12 batteries die early, 12, DeWalt, 20 V and flex volt, batteries, six Metabo HPT batteries, one festool, one Fein. . Some of them were replaced under warranty and some of them were not. One reason I think Iâve had such good success with Makita is they are a little bit conservative with charging even though they are the fastest since 2005. I think red and yellow peak their charge out a little higher. The advantage is you might get a couple more holes per charge or

How would your trade benefit from this unique tool? We are Installing a 42-inch entry door for a disabled veteran. The new header needed to be 47- 1/2â. The customer was concerned about messes in their home because of a previous contractor. We used a Zipwall barrier and dust extraction for every cut. This @makitatools drywall saw and backpack extractor is important on every remodeling and restoration job we do. The customer was watching every move we made. This combo immediately boosted their confidence in our operation.

Gotta love that XGT! Smooth and fast. Did you know Iâve spent almost 10k of my own hard earned money on @makitatools XGT? Itâs that awesome in my book! Yeah we still buy a ton of tools. Whatâs your favorite lineup?

6 1/2â blade left saws are by far my favorite to use for almost all standard framing! Enjoying the power in this 40V @makitatools compared to some current other 6 1/2â saws on the market right now. Are you a blade left or right? How about 6 1/2 vs. 7 1/4?

The power of the @makitatools XGT paired with a @grkfasteners is a match made in heaven!

This new SDS from @makitatools is extremely smooth and fast at drilling into concrete. Itâs truly hard to understand the lack of vibration you feel when using! If you are on the XGT platform Iâd recommend this one for sure! This is the 1 9/16â SDS Max!

Hopefully, we see this little Makita 18v/40v cooler/warmer release this summer. Itâs definitely a lot smaller and can easily hold 6 tall boys. Would be good for lunches whether you need to keep it cool or heat it right up. It can also plug in AC or DC. This is part of their Outdoor Adventure series.

@toolpig_jr first time using the XGT 10-1/2â rear handle saw. Needless to say he loved one pass through these 4x4s. We were supporting a ceiling to install a wider header for a 42â entry door. Would you believe this saw out-cuts a corded worm drive saw? It sure does. Love it!

Late last week I hit the milestone of 300k Here on IG. Wherever you are, be present. Most importantly, whoever you are with, make them the important right then. Cheers to you all who have stuck around to see âwhatâs nextâ.

When the Keurig kicks the bucket you break out the ol @makitatools magic maker. Can you tell Iâve not got much sleep lately?

Why do I like rear handle saws and the answer is always âline of sightâ. What is line of sight? Well hereâs a short video of what I am referring too. Sidewinders you donât have that without sticking your head over the saw in search for these lines or you simply go on faith your saw is square. Hope this helps someone and of course the ones who asked. Happy Friday people.

Rob uses the Makita XGT 8 1/2 inch miter saw for 80 to 90% of the work he does. If he needs larger cuts then he pulls out his 10 or 12 inch saw.
But this is quality, convenient, lightweight, and easily transportable in the van plus it has AWS technology, which allows it to connect through Bluetooth to a #Makitavacuum.

Iâve been wanting to make a low angle block plane for a while now. Hard Maple is easy to work with and makes a nice plane but the Iron Wood is free

Now that the HVAC crew is here, we are drilling and mounting blocks. Normally they would do their work and we'd side around the penetrations, but we don't always get what we want. This was @lp_pros smooth prefinished siding. 6" hole saw and then we'll mount a block and drill the block. @makitatools XGT right angle drill makes it easy and doesn't break wrists. Bummer there is a seam there but life happens. Can't move the vent location due to proximity to windows.

A lot of talk about coil framing nailers on loading them. âI can load a strip nailer way fasterâ âmust get paid hourly to take the time to load that gunâ. When if ya actually thought about it it take less time because of the volume of nails you are loading. I believe it is 5 strips per coil and there is no way you are loading 5 strips that fast (obviously if ya could). Either way I pay me by the hour so it doesnât matter either way but what are your thoughts?

@makitatools XGT Area Light- runs off LXT or XGT batteries, can be daisy chained, but does not charge batteries. 5,500 lumens IP54 rated full review next.
