Makita New Tool Tuesday – New OPE Tools for Spring

Tall grasses, brambles and overgrowth are no match for the new combo of 40V XGT^® OPE tools. The new String Trimmer and Brush Cutter each offer 35cc equivalent power, faster cutting speeds and longer run times.

The 18” Dual Rotation, High Torque String Trimmer features high torque gear ratios that power through overgrown grass with 20% more torque*. It features a cruise control lever with a variable speed trigger for controlled cutting speed and a high torque boost mode for cutting dense material.

The Brush Cutter has a bike-handle design for improved grip and a more ergonomic working position and includes a 10” steel four-tooth brush cutter blade for cutting grasses, shrubs, and underwood. The Brush Cutter can also accept a trimmer head with an 18” cutting swath for increased productivity (trimmer head not included).
