Dior Pinnock, the 18-year-old daughter of former NFL player Andrew Pinnock, was sent home from her job at a ShopRite because she had dyed her hair red, according to reports. The state chapter of the NAACP said the action was a violation of Connecticut’s CROWN Act, which prohibits discrimination against hairstyles common with Black people. The retailer, meanwhile, does not believe it has done anything wrong.
