Hello friends!


The promise of amazing weather has us dreaming of summer plans, and we’ve got some new July & August classes on the calendar to keep us all fed and happy. First up, we’d like to welcome some new instructors to the Pantry family. Rasyidah Rosli’s first outing will be a class on Singaporean Hawker Fare, while Tracy Loeffelholz joins us for The Japanese Bento Box. And mixing our love of craft with our continued focus on food, we’ve got Michael Alexander for a two-day Spoon Carving Workshop.


New classes from your favorite Pantry instructors include Omid Roustaei’s The Persian Garden, Ifrah Ahmed’s The Somali Table, and Heather Newton’s Cooking with Kids: Soufflés. Sarah Monson is back with two classes: Wood-Fired Cooking and Summer Farmers Market. Bruce Naftaly shares his love for Summer in France, while Marie Rutherford narrows the focus in Exploring France: Provence, and Marianna Stepniewski arrives just in time for dessert, with The Ice Cream Shop.


Returning favorites include Jee Hye Kang’s Seoul Street Food, Vindi Rathnayake’s The Sri Lankan Kitchen, and Esha Bhandarkar’s South Indian Dosa. Courtney Johnson is doing double duty with The Cheese Course: France and The Cheese Course: Spain. Shri Repp is back for more Indian Flatbreads, Soy Dara returns with Flavors of Laos, Gino Garcia presents The Northern Mexican Kitchen: Asada, and Janet Beeby makes summer official with All About Wine: Rosé.


Another summertime Pantry tradition is our Field Trip: Quillisascut Farm Camp, this year led by Nadia Tommalieh. Join us in Eastern Washington for a long weekend milking goats, making cheese, baking bread and jam, and a whole bunch more! We’ve got some open seats in our Taste of the Philippines dinner with Jay Guerrero on May 24th and 25th, and our friend Darin Gagner from Valley Sharp is back on May 20th for his monthly knife sharpening services — all live now on our website.
