If you were wondering if you'll be voting on a city sales-tax proposal when you fill out your ballot during the November general election, you're going to have to wait to find out.
Ahead of Tuesday evening's board meeting, city board members seemed prepared to decide whether to call the referendum, but shortly after the meeting began, Mayor Frank Scott Jr. asked that they defer a final vote for two weeks.
Scott also described a new component to the plan that would funnel any excess tax revenue into two funds, one to cover unforeseen costs and the other for infrastructure.

After being fired in 2021, Nadine Jarmon is once again the Little Rock housing authority's executive director as of Monday.
At the Little Rock airport, Steven C. Baker has accepted a job offer that was extended last month for him to replace the late Bryan Malinowski as executive director.
Baker's first day will be Aug. 6. He has worked for the Washington, D.C. airports authority since 2005.
