🥩 Why Cultivated Protein Is Eying The Beef Industry’s Approach

🥩 Why Cultivated Protein Is Eying The Beef Industry’s Approach

The world eats a lot of meat, so restructuring that system is a tall order. Despite over $3.1 billion in investment, the cell-cultured meat industry has struggled to reach commercial scale.

Dutch food technology outfit Meatable recently embarked on a slightly different approach as it tries to bring its cell-cultured beef and pork to the masses.

Last month, former Grass Fed Foods CEO Jeff Tripician became Meatable’s new chief executive – taking over from co-founder Krijn de Nood, who will continue to serve on the board of directors. Tripician, an animal meat industry exec with over 25 years of experience, has been tasked with rewriting the company's approach.

🆕 When Innovation Goes Right… And, When It Goes Terribly Wrong.
