It's not just because we believe deeply in supporting local roasters and their craft, it's because we know that if the beans aren't fresh, the result in your cup isn't going to measure up. While it's true that different factors can affect the flavors, the most common problem we come across is folks unknowingly using stale beans.

For peak flavor, it should be brewed at most 30 days after the roasted-on date on the bag. If you can’t find a roasted-on date, it’s likely that your beans are not up the the standards we’d recommend using with our machines.
