Add a heavy dose of tax policy into the mix of issues that will be largely decided by this year's presidential election and the down-ballot races in Congress.

That's because most of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 will expire at the end of next year. The tax debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is taking center stage — at least as far as the industry and its clients are concerned — as Democrats meet this week in Chicago for their party's convention.
