The rough days for stocks hit differently for financial advisors and clients who are seeking to offset the tax hit from capital gains as part of loss harvesting methods.

While the dropping stock values this week remain far below their total gains for the year, the drawdowns can also bring profits to a client's bottom line after taking tax avoidance into account. Direct indexing, variable prepaid forwards and other tools for tax-focused advisors give over-concentrated clients a different perspective on a broad sell-off and volatility in general.
