I Found Cargo Pants So Nice, I Bought Them Thrice

Contributor Yaminah Mayo has been called many things: “master of color,” “thrift queen,” and, most importantly, “cool-pants collector.” The most recent cool pants of note that she added to her collection are these gingham cargo pants from Urban Outfitters. They’re light and airy, pair with virtually any shirt, and hit perfectly at the talus of her five-foot-three frame. They’re so good, she says she “danced for a good five minutes in my hallway mirror” after first trying them on — “a telltale sign that a garment is meant to be.” She’s now been asked about the pants in nearly every space imaginable, from Instagram comments to the subway platform and even from a French chef who now wants a pair.
